Miss Universe 2009 Pageant in Bahamas

Bahamas is the host country of 58th Miss Universe Beauty Contest wherein the 84 contestants from different countries are staying at Atlantis Paradise Island. Miss Universe 2008, Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela will crown her successor on August 23, 2009 Coronation Night which will take place in Imperial Ballroom of the same hotel and the pageant shall be broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo.

Four artist are going to perform in Miss Universe Coronation Night. Flo Rida will perform his hugely successful hit, “Right Round” and “Jump” as part of a two song medley during the Swimsuit Competition of the telecast
David Guetta and Kelly Rowland will set the tone for the Evening Gown portion of the pageant. The popular duo will combine their talents as they perform their hit single, “When Love Takes Over.”
Heidi Montag sings her single “Body Language.”

Miss Universe Philippines 2009 'Bianca Manalo'

Pamela Bianca Manalo was crowned Binibining Pilipinas 2009 – Universe at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, on March 7, 2009.

Pamela Bianca is the sister of Katherine Anne Manalo, Miss World 2002 Top 10 finalist and the niece of Nini Ramos, Miss International 1968 Top 15 semi-finalist. During the Bb. Pilipinas 2009 pageant she won awards including the Best in Swimsuit and some sponsors awards like Miss Natasha, Miss Philippine Airlines and Manila Bulletin Reader's Choice Award. At the end of the night she was crowned the new Binibining Pilipinas 2009 – Universe and have the right to represent the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2009.
