Andrea Notter was freed from Abu Sayyaf kidnapping
Andrea Notter, a swiss national and one of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) volunteer was freed at last from 93-day captivity of Abu Sayyaf. Notter and two other ICRC volunteers - Italian Eugenio Vagni, Filipino Mary Jean Lacaba - were seized by armed gun men after they conducted a water sanitation study of Jolo provincial jail on Jan. 15.
Lacaba was first released on April 2. So the two captives, Lacaba and Notter were freed. Unfortunately, Vagni, 62 y.o., still remains in captivity of Abu Sayyaf who happened to be unwell because of Hernia.
Wether this will be of importance or not to our fellow Abu Sayyaf. I'd still extend my earnest request to them to Please have mercy and let Mr. Vagni go home now. Please release Mr. vagni. He's old and yet unwell, most likely he's having a hard time walking at the same time transferring from one place to another out there in the forest. And sure enough his family must be distraught of fear about Vagni's safety.
In the first place, the three ICRC volunteers set foot in Jolo with good intention and noble cause to build projects for the purpose of helping people of Jolo. Such dire violence like this will simply lead to shooing away beneficial opportunity or lucrative opportunities for Jolo and some parts of Mindanao.
Any place that there are War, violence, guns and kidnapping, here or abroad, are stealing away hopes, peace, time, and future of the people especially the innocent children. It's so outrageous! They don't deserve these. No one does. Children are the real victims. Their future is more valuable that any one's egoistic interest. Little by litte, inch by inch, children being caught amidst war of violence are dying for their dreams and hopes are shattered into pieces. More so, before they realize it, the fun, innocence and life of being a child are corrupted to nothing.
WORLD PEACE PLEASE!!!
