High School Reunion, Salaman Institute: Oh! Really. It's alright

What are there to say about High School?

Salaman Institute 2011
Oh. So many memories to reminisce, countless stories to tell over and over again (I bet one post isn’t enough to recount those happy and unforgettable stories.), and lots and lots of experiences about love and friendship happened in our High School life. Not to mention the petty misunderstandings among barkadas. And the C.A.T. training in the Salaman Institute field under the scorching heat of the sun. (Talupad.........)

High School Graduation 2000

I had a fun-filled and unforgettable memories happened in my High School days. Well, almost everybody would agree that they had a remarkable roller coaster ride High School life. So many firsts that only happened in our high school days - first love (pagsabay sa hapon after classes), first crush (corny love letter sent to you. I still keep it in a box), first kilig moments (date sa fishpond of S.I.), first kiss (So sad I wish I had. Sayang!), first taste of heartaches and failures, first joy of victory, first glimpse of what to expect of the so-called real world and first opportunity to build one’s character and personality.

And now, some were married (pila na anak nyo?), some are still single ( Jing sabi mo if at 35 single pa din, makipagchat na lang, pwede na..), some are working abroad for greener pasture (naks! Dati sa Lebak lang ngayon di ka na mareach.), some were died (may you rest in peace guys, buti nga kayo free na from hustle and bustle of llife.), some are engaged (invite us, makaon kami), some are successful in their chosen career (donation please sa S.I.), some are still struggling (don’t you worry matatapos din yan), some are confused (iutot mo lang yan), some are still studying, some are I don’t know where, some are happy of what they have and some are not happy inspite of what they have.

Though years may pass and the world may change but when true friendship is there then opportunity comes to meet again I’m sure we will back to the old ways of the old days.

Charaaaan….. 10 years went by and stil the same. (Makukulit at maiingay)

See, as if nothing changes. Yeah, there is a bit change. (waaaaaa….) we’re not getting any younger at all. We were still loud that night, talking and catching up. Careless of the people around us. It’s just that we want to make the most of it, the rare chances of being together again.
High School is another facet of our life that we go through, certain memories are forgotten and few people cannot be remembered anymore, each one of us had different experiences and unique special moments we can account during High School, yet no one would deny that High School Life didn’t teach us anything or didn’t gave us memoirs to cherish.

Yes, things were changed, many of us realized that (dati pag nagpapapicture film ang gamit 36 shots lang with 2 extra shots. Masama pa, pag naexpose ang film or pangit ang pagkuha ng picture di mo madedelete. Ngayon digital na after picture taking, hala! Sabay sabay na titingnan kung maganda ang kuha nya.), and it does continue to change because the world and the people are evolving, gone are the days of carefree, childish and less complicated routine ( sa recess magic flakes and soft drinks, ok na, minsan wala pa dahil hindi makasingit sa canteen).

Now we are confronted with day to day challenges (bills to pay, deadlines to meet, money to send for loved ones, kids to feed, savings to raise, business to expand, extra income to find, budget to stretch, immature husband, debts to pay, the list is endless). Nevertheless, despite each one of us difficulties we endure in life and our own personal struggles, we must face the blows of this world with a brave heart, I pray and hope we manage to be good human beings that know how to love (Because God is Love) and a person with dignity and fairness in our own ways in all our dealings.
