My First Stand on Stage

I first started on the background and I want it to be that way.
Life is like that, we weaved our cocoon of comfort zone because of our fears and people’s rejections. Hence, if something unusual occurs in our standard routine we panicked because our makeshift world is threatened. And it turned out that our fears and people’s rejections are nonsense once we took that one big leap.

A Death on my Birthday

Each birthday is a step we take on the road to inevitable final days. We will all grow old. We will all die. We will all live this human world. No one is exempted.
No one who was proclaimed dead, embalmed and inside the coffin already, as far as I know, got up from the grave and would react to whatever the visitor’s statement at the funeral. But they say it is expected that always every body will say something nice about the deceased. Try say something unpleasant and for sure all the people around you will cast a look of ‘be considerate that person is already dead".

So, why we have to wait for the necrological service or some few days left of our love ones, family members, friends, relatives, neighbours, enemies, co-workers and our fellows to give our forgiveness, show our love, touch them with care, say our prayers and offer our warmest hug. At the funeral though how loud you cry or how much tears you shed, it won’t matter anymore. We are all guilty of these. Guilty of what ifs and why not. And regretting of the lost days we could have spent loving, caring, forgiving and spreading peace.

High School Reunion, Salaman Institute: Oh! Really. It's alright

What are there to say about High School?

Salaman Institute 2011
Oh. So many memories to reminisce, countless stories to tell over and over again (I bet one post isn’t enough to recount those happy and unforgettable stories.), and lots and lots of experiences about love and friendship happened in our High School life. Not to mention the petty misunderstandings among barkadas. And the C.A.T. training in the Salaman Institute field under the scorching heat of the sun. (Talupad.........)

My Best friend’s Wedding: Looking Back

Hey! Can you pause for a minute?
Do you consider the ancient idea that in this world where we live in which is filled of capricious human beings that there is only a handful of souls you would consider as true friends and selected buddies you’ll treasure as best friend?

Me, I don’t just believe to that but as a matter of fact I live with that since birth, literally. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t born with a twin snake like the old famous fable. Nah..

I have a best friend and her name is Pinangot. OH. Sorry, I used her not so pleasant pet name. Okay. Take two. I have a best friend and her name is Frenelyn Fabian Celis-Sullano. How we became best of friends? Until now I really don’t know. Maybe that’s one of the countless mysteries of life how two contrasting individuals destined to be together. Maybe even the stars in the sky don’t know if I’ll consult them. Only God knows.

Swimming outing to small but pristine Island of Potipot in Zambales, Philippines

"Tayo nang magpunta sa Potipot
Tuklasin sa Potipot
Ang tuwa, ang saya

Doon sa Potipot
Tayo na, tayo na
Mga bata sa Potipot "
This was the theme song composed by my not so creative sister which she proudly sang to us while going to Potipot island in Zambales. Yeah, I know. Not so funny theme song and ver much original, nevertheless the group were amused when we heard it so expectedly she teased by her friends.

We availed the POTIPOT ISLAND GETAWAY PACKAGE for 2 days and 1 night of Leisure 28 Tours (See our Itinerary, package inclusions and rates below). From Manila to Candelaria, Zambales is a long drive, the travel time is 6 hours, maybe longer if it’s via public transportation, but we took it for 5 hours and 30 minutes drive because we have a fast driver (lucky for us!). For that entire hours being in the van, you either sleep or chat with each other, so you must really bring with you a bag of jokes and stories as what our group did.

Hiillsong United Concert ‘Aftermath’ in Manila Philippines

I know the Christian band Hillsong United and I’m no new to their brand of music, but just these couple of years that I’ve got interest to their songs when I joined our Praise and Worship team. I have no idea about their upcoming concert tour here in Manila for their latest album ‘ Aftermath’, yet it so happened my fellow youth bought us some tickets. Three of us, my sister, my cousin and me watched Hillsong United Concert for the first time and it was worth it.
